Cameras: Since early in 2002, I have been taking all of my photographs with a Canon G2 digital camera. In September of 2005, I purchased a Canon S2 IS and have used it almost exclusively since then. Before my conversion to digital, I shot slides almost exclusively. I used a Canon ELAN II E and an Olympus Stylus Zoom 105. Before that I used an Olympus OM-1 outfit and an Olympus XA-4 pocket camera. Scans: Slides and negatives are scanned with a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III. Before that I used a HP PhotoSmart Photo Scanner (the older SCSI model). I also digitize slides by putting them into a slide copier attachment I made for my Canon S2. It does a reasonable job and is very fast. Galleries: The photo galleries are generated by a program call BreezeBrowser, www.breezesys.com. I highly recommend this program to anyone who needs to manipulate large numbers of photographs. Among many other features, BreezeBrowser allows you to select the pictures you want in your gallery. It then creates appropriately sized pictures and thumbnails and generates the HTML using one of several user modifiable templates. Web Host: In late 2003, I moved my site to Lunarpages and so far they have done a good job. My previous host was frequently down and twice lost my site, forcing me to reload. If you would like to check out Lunarpages, click the banner below. |
