The 25th annual Texas Wilderness Pow Wow, a weekend of nature walks, camping, and music, was held April 16-18 at Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest. The Pow Wow featured walks into Big Slough Wilderness Area, a program by oral historian Thad Sitton highlighting the history of the Neches River and surrounding forest, and campfire with singer / songwriter Bill Oliver.

The Pow Wow is sponsored by the Texas Committee on Natural Resources and other environmental and outdoor groups in Texas.
