The 23rd annual Texas Wilderness Pow Wow, a weekend of nature walks, camping, and music, was held April 12-14 at Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest. The Pow Wow featured walks into Big Slough Wilderness Area, a program highlighting efforts to protect the proposed Upper Neches National Scenic River, and campfire with singer / songwriter Bill Oliver. The Pow Wow is sponsored by the Texas Committee on Natural Resources and other environmental and outdoor groups in Texas. TEXAS

organization committed to protecting native ecosystems and promoting
efficient use of natural resources in Texas. TCONR members contribute
